One of the key aspects of the project “Strengthening Capacities for the Implementation of Dual Education in the Higher Education System of Georgia—DUGEOR” refers to the establishment of an appropriate legal framework in Georgia to introduce dual study programs into the higher education system. In this regard, The Working Group 4 meeting was held in Tbilisi, Georgia, in a hybrid format at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA,) premises on November 14th and 15th, 2024.

In the opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Mirko Savić, project coordinator, emphasized the importance of Work Package 4: Creation of Legal and Strategic Framework for Implementation of Dual Higher Education from the perspective of the project’s overall goal. The documents with the proposal for change of legal and strategic framework in higher education to create a base for the introduction of dual education into higher education of Georgia will follow the legal practice from EU Member States and third countries associated to the Programme considered within the WP2

During the meeting, particular attention was given to the report by the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science, regarding proposed amendments to the Law on Higher Education, as well as an analysis of accreditation standards presented by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia.
